The movies and videos below offer insight as well as inspiration into women's efforts and struggles thru the years.
"Equal Means Equal" is a 90 minute documentary that illustrates the unequal treatment women receive in the United States today. It is a raw portrayal of how the legal system fails to protect them. You can purchase the video for home use or follow the graphic link to get a version for a theater showing or planned event. "Legalize Equality" is a condensed 30 minute version of Equal Means Equal.
"Iron Jawed Angels" is a homage to the perils and the persistence of the women's suffrage movement. "Not for Ourselves Alone" is a Ken Burns documentary of the amazing relationship between Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Season B. Anthony and their lifelong fight for the vote.
The video clips that follow are both informative and inspirational. We could all use a little of both.
