Members of the South Carolina Senate are listed below. A simple majority vote (50% + 1) will be needed to pass the resolution. That equals 24 Senators. As of February 1, we have 11. Not bad!
Senate Joint Resolutions S.901 was filed by Senator Tom Davis.
Joint Resolution S.918 was filed by Senators Margie Bright Matthews, Mia S. McLeod, Katrina Frye Shealy and Sandy Senn.
At some point these two bills will be reconciled into one. Until then, legislators need to sign on to both. Both resolutions have bipartisan support.

To see if your legislator has signed on as a sponsor, check the list below. Senators who are sponsors are framed in green. If they are not, you should contact them immediately to find out where they stand (clicking their photo will link to contact info).
If they are supportive, thank them, and ask that they sign-on as a sponsor as soon as possible (sponsors can sign-on at any time). If they are not supportive, you can either ask for a meeting to discuss their concerns (our contact your legislator steps will walk you thru the process), or you can say you'll get back to them with more information. Then send us an email, and we'll help you figure out the next step.
